Structured cabling is the design and provisioning of communications cabling products and installation services to provide solutions for any environment that are standards based and focused. Through our experience and the use of design and installation professionals, |
Dramis brings all this together through partnerships with two of the worlds leading manufacturers, Amp (Tyco) of Canada and Nordx/CDT. Through our partnerships Dramis provides end to end solutions from a single source and manufacturer. The direction and rational at Dramis in Structured Cabling is to provide solutions, not parts and pieces. This is a very important value add to our customers.
Every element of our systems or cabling plants are integrated, designed and tested in laboratory testing to work as a system “End to End”. The first components of our systems are our patch panels for the termination of horizontal distribution cables or equipment termination's in the TC. We have solutions and offerings of all sizes and styles including 12, 24, 48, 96 and 120 port configurations. Termination's can come in 110 or Bix punch down. All our supported products exceed Next, Attenuation, Return Loss and Balance exceeding ANSI/TIA/EIA standards. We also provide the flexibility of modular patch panels. Using modular patch panels any configuration and media combination can be conveniently terminated for convenience and versatility ie. Coax, UTP,STP, Video and fiber all in one panel.

At the workstation end, styles and port density in the faceplate accommodate even the most advanced user. Solutions are available in flush and surface box arrangements in single and dual gang arrangements. Modular faceplates are also available for multimedia combinations. |
For special requirements and customer preferences there are angled faceplates, back boxes and concentration solutions for large numbers of connectors and fiber termination housings.

The quality and grade of the cable that is installed at a customer site is dependent upon the individual customer requirements and needs for speed and bandwidth. Our in house professionals are a resource to our customers in representing and positioning the |
different cables and category's of solutions available in the market ie. Category 5, 5E, 6. Find out more, ask about our Quantum cable and solutions available through Amp. Quantum cables are Category 6, 23 awg, 100 ohm cables which exceed proposed specifications for Category 6. Performance specifications extend to frequencies of 400 MHz and exceed all proposed requirements for Gigabit Ethernet. The comparable IBDN 4800LX solution from Nordx/CDT sets a performance benchmark that exceeds the Category 6 proposal. The 4800LX is also a 23 awg, 100 ohm cable for applications with data rates up to 4.8Gbs
